HR Certificate Program - Tier Two

Strengthen your human resources game with HR training for seasoned District government human resources professionals.
The HR Certificate Program series is structured to ensure that District HR Professionals are utilizing industry best practices and cutting-edge knowledge while providing the District’s workforce with first-class customer service. Our Human Resources Certificate Tier 1 program equipped District HR Professionals with a broader and deeper understanding of HR Fundamentals. In Tier 2,  we supplement Human Resources professionals and their HR knowledge with deeper diver into Recruitment and Interview, Talent Management, HR Policies, Performance Review, etc.

Requirements


Cohort Model: Each cohort 15 people.

Eligibility Requirements:
Employees need to have:
  • Human Resources position grade 12 or above (Required by all); and
  • 5+ years of human resources experiences;
  • Previous participation in human resources training and/or possessing an HR-related certification is a plus but not required.

Note: HR certificate refers to the certification achieved through an HR-related program from organizations such as, but not limited to: DCHR, the Graduate School USA, SHRM, IPMA, and HRCI. A HR degree refers to a Bachelor's or Master's degree obtained from a university/college. DCHR reserves the right to review credentials submitted for compliance with program guidelines.

Assessment


  • Successful completion of an assessment will be required at the end of each training topic.
  • Each participant is required to submit an individual Capstone project.
  • Each participant must successfully complete IPMA training and sit for the IPMA certification exam.
