30-Min. Meditation Series: Healthy Self-Advocacy for Well-Being!

Weekly Themes:

  • November 3-5:  Advocating for Physical Health! Belly Breath

When going to a physician, remember! You are your most important advocate. SELF-ADVOCATE – trust your intuition and be sure to do some research to help yourself understand any symptoms.

  • November 10-12: Advocating for Mental Health! Diaphragm Breath

In therapy? Consider suggesting breath and movement, expression in art, music, drama even with a traditional talk therapist.

  • November 17-19: Advocating for Emotional Health! Upper Chest Breath

Checking out those who support you emotionally and those who do not. Advocating for yourself can include distancing emotionally from people who are not lifting you up.

  • November 24-26: Advocating for Spiritual Health! Any breath

Really advocating for yourself to deepen your own version of spiritual wellness. Where in your life do you need to reinforce your own spiritual path? Are you in a faith-based community that serves your overall needs or just some of your needs?

Start your week with our Monday meditation classes to help you sharpen your focus, and get ready for the days ahead. Meditations are inspired to give your mind a little rest to rejuvenate and recharge.

Each 30-minute meditation helps relax the entire body, including the brain, the nervous system, and the heart’s blood pressure. Gentle slow breaths also nurture the immune system and lower rates of anxiety and depression.
