The District of Columbia’s Department of Human Resources (DCHR) is excited to announce the 2025 #DCIsHiring Career Fair series. The #DCIsHiring Career Fair series will bring a number of opportunities across a plethora of industries to District residents and residents of the neighboring communities. Available positions will include District service, public service, private sector, and non/not–for–profit employers. Hiring entities will be encouraged to make on-the-spot employment offers to candidates identified as the best fit for their roles.

All Career Fair events are free, but registration is required. During registration, candidates will be required to upload a resume and will be able to select up to 2 positions to be considered for in advance of the event. Registrants will still be able to visit ALL participating hiring entities.
During the registration process, applicants will also have the option of claiming additional preference(s); see below for a comprehensive list. - Anyone claiming District residency preference at the time of application should bring a DC government-issued form of identification and/or a combination of four substitute proofs of residency. For more information on how to prove residency please refer to the District’s Personnel Manual.
- A Veteran, Spouse of a Veteran, or eligible Survivor. For additional details on qualifications click here.

- 18 to 21 years of age and is currently or was a Child and Family Services (CFSA) foster care recipient within the last five years. For additional details on qualifications click here.
- Applicants claiming a foster care preference will need a letter or other documentation from CFSA or the Family Court of D.C. Superior Court to validate a current foster care status or show the date court supervision ended.
To ensure job seekers are well prepared for each event, the DC Department of Human Resources will also host prep sessions leading up to each event. During the prep sessions, jobseekers will have the opportunity to engage with the DC Department of Human Resources Center for Learning and Development to gain critical knowledge on best practices for writing/updating resumes and interviewing while in a career fair setting.
