Aflac Indemnity Plans

Indemnity plans are a type of voluntary insurance policy that reimburses the patient and/or provider as expenses are incurred. Aflac is the District of Columbia Government indemnity plan provider. Aflac pays cash benefits directly to the designated employee (unless assigned elsewhere) in the event of illness or injury. This acts like a safety net for you and your family – you can use the cash to help cover expenses that major medical does not – like mortgage, groceries, or whatever you need.
Available plans include:
  • Individual Cancer Indemnity Insurance
  • Individual Hospital Confinement Indemnity Insurance
  • Individual Accident Advantage Insurance
  • Individual Specified Health Event Insurance

Aflac Wellness Benefits

Aflac understands preventative care is essential to overall health and well being, which is why many Aflac insurance policies include an annual wellness benefit. Wellness benefits are paid each calendar year when a covered person receives a wellness procedure. These include, but are not limited to, blood tests, Pap smears, mammography, dental exams, X-rays, and more. The individual plans for DC Government employees that include a wellness benefit are Accident Advantage and Cancer Indemnity.
