A meditation and breath practice for heart health is an effective tool for disease prevention and elevated experiences of mental and emotional well-being.

Studies from many institutions such as Harvard and the National Institutes of Health, meditation benefits heart health by “shifting” the body’s nervous system from ‘fight/flight’ to ‘rest/digest’, which in turn lowers blood pressure and heart rate, decreasing your risk for heart disease.

Meet the Team

The DCHR Management Team provides executive management and recruitment; policy direction; strategic and financial planning; public relations; resource management; support for District agencies under the Mayor's authority and consultation to the Mayor and members of the Cabinet on human resource issues. The team works to control and disseminates work assignments and coordinates agency operations to ensure the attainment of the agency’s goals and objectives.
